 Since sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) survival is dramatically affected by response time, it is critical that AED placement be taken into consideration. The survival rate for SCA drops 7-10% every minute without defibrillation. The American Heart Association (AHA) recommends the optimum deployment of an AED is 3-5 minutes or sooner from the onset of sudden cardiac arrest. Therefore, the correct placement of AED(s) in your facility is imperative.
As part of our AED Advantage Program Management, Commercial EMS performs an on-site inspection for the selection of optimal locations, the quantity of AED units needed, the installation and deployment of these units.
